DAY 1: Visitors' Arrival in Corfu Island
You arrive in the cosmopolitan Corfu! You take some rest and in the afternoon you start the cycling excursion visiting the famous Kanoni, Pontikonisi and Vlacherna Island.
"Kanoni" (cannon in English) is placed in the South part of the city next to the airport, took its name from the French cannon of battery type that is placed there. The small Pontikonisi island is nearby to Kanoni. It is the home of the monastery of Pantokrator and its byzantine church that dates back to the 13th century. Next to Pontikonisi lays the famous island of the Vlacherna monastery which hosts the Icon of Holy Mary that dates back to the 17th century. This small island is connected to the land through a narrow lane of land, which is a very characteristic spot of the island and according to mythology, it was a ship of the Phaeacians which turned into stone. While standing in Kanoni you can enjoy the view towards Pontikonisi, the Vlacherna Island, the Perama beach and Benistses.
In the evening you go for dinner in a famous traditional restaurant in the centre of Corfu city and then you walk around the atmospheric Old Town of Corfu, which is actually an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will not be long until you realize that you have been visited a magical place! You will discover the tremendous cultural and historical heritage of the place and the influences left in every sight by the Italians, the English, the French, the Russians and the Greeks who lived and flourished on the island! You will feel and might hear the steps of the kings, the noble and the knights who once walked in the pavements and the famous kantounia. It is also very possible to step on the outdoor concerts of the Philharmonic orchestra or on traditional music, which is spread out in the air. You will get excited with the traditional food of Corfu like “pastitsada”, “sofrito”, “mpourdeto” and other traditional local goodies, like liquor kumquat and bergamot orange, which are characteristic products of the Island, Graviera cheese and Corfu butter, olive oil, oregano, honey and other homemade creations and souvenirs!
What is also noticeable is the natural beauty of the Island. Corfu will amaze you with its majestic nature, its hills full of pine trees, cypress trees and eucalyptus trees, the crystal blue water, the golden beaches, the picturesque ports, the traditional villages and the traditional towns. DAY 2: Cycling tour in the city of Corfu
Cycling tour in the historical city of Corfu to discover all the hidden beauties and archaeological monuments of Corfu!
Early in the morning you ride your bikes and go for a tour in the historical city centre, so as to discover the hidden beauties of Corfu. You start to visit the exquisite collections and the unique exhibits in museums of the Byzantine and Post Byzantine History as well as in the museum of Asian Art (it is housed in the Palace of Sts Michael and George) and it presents over 10.000 Chinese and Asian exhibits. You ride around the largest and the most impressive of all squares in the Balkans, the famous Spianada, where most of the city’s festivals take place, for example, concerts, litanies and parades as well as cricket games (on the grass of the square). You will make a stop to drink coffee or to eat something in cosmopolitan Liston, which is an arcade to its west side, where restaurants and bistros abound. Actually, in the past, it was a place exclusively intended for the aristocrats of the city! We will visit the historical churches among which is the most famous St. Spiridonas and the Metropolitan church of St. Theodora.
You move around the Old Town, which lays between the Old and the New Town and which is characterized by its high stone walls that did not allow its expansion. It is sure that we will be amazed by the unique architecture, the high and multi-floored buildings, the narrow stone pavements and the famous Kantounia in Kampielo neighbourhood, where one can see the laundry hanging out from the balconies. In every well – preserved neoclassic mansions and monuments, in the magnificent palace of Sts Michael and George and in the whole historic city centre you can easily discern the Venetian, the English, the French influence and admire everywhere around us the cultural and the historical heritage of these nations.
In the city centre, you enjoy the famous local and Mediterranean cuisine and then you take some rest in our hotel. In the afternoon you follow a free program or choose to swim at a popular beach in the city if the cycling group so wishes. You have our dinner at the hotel.
DAY 3: Cycling tour from Igoumenitsa to Ioannina
The cycling tour in North and Central Greece starts today! Setting off from Corfu, you travel by boat through the Ionian Sea, so as to reach the port of Igoumenitsa.
The port of Igoumenitsa is one of the most important ports of Epirus and hosts numerous routes to Europe. Starting from the port you pass through the mountain range of Pindos cycling for almost 93 kilometres until you reach the picturesque and historic city of Ioannina. You are in the multicultural city of Ioannina. The city of the legends and the myths!
Here you are going to experience a marvellous and unforgettable trip back in time! In this corner of West Greece, you meet myths printed in the history of this lively city. Myths made from real "materials", from real people: Ali Pasha, Kura - Frosini, Kura- Vasiliki. You will meet them at the legendary Lake Pamvotida and at the Ioannina Island, with its pavements, the traditional houses and the byzantine churches. You can feel them as you walk around the Old City, the mosques and the dungeons, the imposing castle with its Ottoman buildings, the acropolis of Its Kale, the byzantine churches and the museums. You will see them at the embossed souvenirs made from silver. The cycling excursions through the picturesque pavements of the pedestrianized city center and the castle, the ride around the lake and the beautiful Island of Ioannina, the sightseeing around the city and the museums, the natural beauty and the picturesque corners of the city, the traditional tastes and smells of Epirus will satisfy even the most demanding traveler.Route Details
DAY 4: Cycling tour in Meteora
You are at Kalampaka that constitutes the city-gate of the huge stone complex of Meteora. The cycling tour begins from Kastraki.

You take an uphill route with a direction to the monastery «Big Meteoro» and then to the monastery «Varlaam» and then the hovering Monastery of «AgiosStefanos ». The masterpiece of nature spreads before our eyes. The holy place constitutes a breathtaking spectacle!
The excursion ends at the Central Square of Kalampaka. A stop for coffee or a sweet follows and a free tour to the traditional local shops of the area. Then, you visit with our bicycles the Natural History Museum and the Mushroom Museum. Late in the evening, you are transferred to Larissa city for dinner and accommodation.Route Details
DAY 5: Cycling tour from Metsovo to Meteora
Your cycling tour starts after healthy traditional Greek breakfast in Metsovo.
You take the road to Meteora, towards the steep hills of Pindos, you pass through Katara and among various villages slopes of the surrounding mountains, firs, beeches, pine trees, coniferous trees, chestnut trees. What a wonderful green scenery! Near Kalampaka city you recharge your battery at the street vendors who selling fruit, nuts, basils, sweets. DAY 6: Cycling tour from Larissa to foot of Mount Olympus
You set off from the hotel early in the morning and you reach Larissa by bus, the capital of Thessaly. Your cycling tour starts from the Ancient Theatre of Larissa,
Your cycling tour starts from the Ancient Theatre of Larissa, passing by the sights, the monuments and the beautiful spots of the city. It heads to the road that will take us to the coastline of the Prefecture of Larissa.
The coastline of Central Greece, which you enjoy on our bikes, is almost 50 kilometres long. It starts at Aghiokampos and it ends in Platamonas. Along the ride, you pass by more than 20 beaches, small gulfs at foot of Maurovouni, Kissavos and Olympus.
As you come closer at the foot of mythical Olympus Mountain you can enjoy some of the awarded beaches on our right hand and the green slopes of the Gods’ Mountain on our left. The beautiful route of 98 kilometres comes to an end in Platamonas where we can have a recovery swim!Route Details
DAY 7: Cycling tour from Litohoro to Mount Olympus
You are transferred from Platamon to Litochoro to start your cycling tour at Mythical Mount Olympus.
Having the beautiful Litochoro as your starting point, you head off to a cycling excursion to Prionia, to Mt. Olympus. You are cycling for 18 kilometres in a tarred uphill road as we pass by the 1rst refuge, at Stavros (994 meters). In the following, you arrive in the area of Prionia (1.100 meters).
There is also an alternative route. Those who wish more moderate cycling ascend have the option to use a car from the starting point in Litochoro until Stavros and continue their route by bicycle, so as to cycle for 7 kilometres of moderate difficulty until the area of Prionia.In Prionia there is a parking space as well as a small restaurant. You are having a short break altogether for refilling and recovery.
By taking the same route 18 kilometres descend from Prionia to Litochoro, you have the chance to enjoy the unique densely vegetated landscape of Mt. Olympus, full of pine trees and beech trees, and the coastline of Pieria, which fills up the horizon.

DAY 8: Cycling tour from Ioannina to Metsovo
Today’s ride starts early in the morning in the city of Ioannina heading to the famous village Metsovo.You follow a beautiful route through beech trees and tall pine trees and we ascend to the north, where we reach an altitude of 1.159 meters, where, in the slopes of Pindos, you find the traditional village.
Metsovo is built amphitheatrically within the forest nearby Katara, the steep hill of Pindos. The village preserves its traditional character. It is one of the most beautiful villages in the country. It attracts tourists all year long, as it artlessly offers its unique beauty to its visitors.
Gastronomy is an important chapter of what Metsovo has to offer and the visitor realizes it immediately. The local tavernas offer a variety of delicious meat. Here eating is “epic” and people can try the delicacies like kontosouvli, kokoretsi, sausages and of course a lot of pies!
Around the central square, there are numerous stores that sell local products. There you can also find a variety of dairy products, among which visitors can find the famous cheeses metsovone and mozzarella. Here you will take some rest and you enjoy the traditional tastes of Epirus and the sightseeing.Route Details
