Trekking bikes. What you need to know
A popular type of bicycle, especially in recent years, are trekking or touring bicycles. These bicycles were designed mainly to cover the weaknesses of mountain bikes on asphalt. Bicycles light 13-14kg and with 18-27 speeds.
They have mainly front suspension, adjustable handlebar neck for a comfortable riding position. Their wheels are 28' inches with thin tires with a small heel, making them much more comfortable to ride on asphalt trails and on loose dirt trails they can move us quite comfortably.
If you are interested in moving comfortably in the city, if you are interested in escaping from it "relaxed" and combining your ride with rides on "trodden" dirt paths, trekking bikes are the bikes for you.
The Fitness category
Another category of bicycles is the Fitness type, which is differentiated from the Trekking type. They have no suspension, a more aerodynamic riding position, thinner and smoother tyres on the 28" wheels and are therefore only suitable for asphalt and ideal for long distances.
