Summer cycling equipment

Cycling in summer can seem like a moving sauna, but cycling even in midsummer can be a pleasant experience, as long as you are properly prepared. That is, having the right equipment-clothing. We can make life easier and the weather more bearable by using the right equipment and clothing.

Head
On the head you can wear a thin breathable bandana or thin brimmed cycling hats under the helmet.
Goggles
Sunglasses are essential to protect the eyes from the sun, dust, insects and wind. Prefer "removable lenses" used depending on the weather conditions in which we cycle: Black lenses for bright sun, clear for cloudy and very early morning.
T-shirt
An indispensable item in the cyclist's summer wardrobe is a short-sleeved or sleeveless cycling shirt, made of breathable fabric for easy and quick sweat elimination. It features a mesh insert in the under-sleeve and back area, ensuring maximum sweat elimination and keeping the body cool. Features a full-length or chest-high zipper and silicone lining on the waistband and the sleeves for a perfect fit. There are pockets on the back of the shirt for the essentials of a walk or workout. On downhill routes a windproof short sleeve is always useful as it will protect your chest from the wind.
Leggings
Short, thin and unlined cycling pants (leggings) are reinforced with special pads that aim to provide comfort and protection of the sensitive area. The cyclist does not wear underwear, for the reason that it prevents proper blood circulation in the areas that need freedom of movement of the legs when pedalling, and also because it causes irritation due to friction in the area.
Gloves
Cycling gloves in the summer? Yes, good cycling gloves have reinforcements where the hand comes into contact with the handlebars for greater safety and comfort They also have a small volume so they fit everywhere.

Have a good summer cycling getaway!
